A flex tennis league in Miami. No membership required.
The Player Challenge is Miami Racket Club’s flagship program: a reimagined singles flex league that brings the city’s competitive players together through real match play, curated experiences, and premium rewards from brands we believe in. It is open to every competitive player in Miami, no membership required, and the front door to the Club.
$120 a season. Seasons run 8-10 weeks and then playoffs. No cap on matches. The average active player plays 8 per season while some record 30+. We've facilitated 1,200 matches in the past year...and counting.
Registration for the Winter Season is open now. Early access is $110 until Dec 1, then $120.

The Experience
The Player Challenge is built around three things: elevated competition, curated experiences, and premium rewards. Every match is scored and the leaderboard updates daily, so your season is live from the first serve. The points system, built in-house, rewards who you play and how you play. Beat someone in a higher division and it counts for more, every loss still earns a point, and each new opponent you face moves you up. The season opens with a social, so it all adds up to competition that connects you to the city, not just the standings.

Seasons and Divisions
We run four seasons a year, for two months at a time, and each closing with a Flex Final Four playoff. Every division champion qualifies for the annual title held in the fall. Three divisions keep matches honest, and while you can play anyone in any division at any time, you are ranked and rewarded within your own. Divisions include 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+

Format
Matches are flex-scheduled: you coordinate directly with your opponent to find a time and place that works for both of you. Play is best of three sets, with a 10-point super tiebreak deciding the third. The winning player submits the result, and points update by the next morning. After each match you rate your opponent on punctuality, ease of coordination, and sportsmanship, kept private and reviewed only by MRC admins.

Qualifying Prizes
Every season ends in the Flex Final Four, a playoff for the top players in each division. Champions take home a custom MRC season kit, an invitation to join the Club, and a place in the annual title. Runners-up and wildcard winners earn gear and gift cards from our brand partners including Wilson, Dunlop, Tennis Warehouse, and LMNT, plus Miami favorites like Miami Slice, Navi Coffee, and Racquet magazine.
